It is a simple mechanical device, placed in the same box as the dry drawing lubricant. When the wire passes through the rollers, the rollers rotate and push more lubricant on the wire surface. This forces more lubricant on the surface when the wire enters the die.
Yes, all the spare parts for the applicator are easily available. There is a minimum order quantity that has to be ordered. The minimum order quantity is different for different parts.
This depends on how much lubricant you want on the wire surface. Most of our customers prefer to use it in the initial 3 -4 dies, the pre-finish and finish die. We have seen the best results are acheived when it is used in the initial dies.
There are no negative effects of using a Kemtree Wire Drawing Lubricant applicator. However, the user must decide for themselves as to how much lubricant they want on the wire surface.
